This week there were only three tournaments taking place. All three events set-up and actively posted to Facebook and Twitter. The PGA Champions Tour event, the Nature Valley First Tee Open, also used Google+, a blog page and a YouTube channel. The social media accounts are active all the year round as the First Tee Organisation works all year round supporting local golf foundations.

lacoste ladies openThe Lacoste Ladies Open de France did a great job in publishing dual language posts on Facebook. This is a great example of how to address the local golf fan and those from other countries.

Our prize this week however goes to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship for delivering a seemingly constant stream of updates – 29 posts and over 200 photos. A fantastic job in bringing the excitement of the tournament, on the course and off it, to those of us who were not at St Andrews.
