How to add images to your golf club email newsletter

It’s true what they say. A picture really does paint a 1000 words.
So, perhaps you might want to add some sparkle to your club newsletter with a nice picture of the winning putt from last weeks club match against your arch-rivals. Or maybe you managed to capture the moment when this year’s Captain duffed his tee shot at the Captain’s Drive.

Whatever the occasion, words are not usually enough. Our email marketing platform enables you to quickly and easily add images. But here are a few tips to help you get the most of the system.

If you simply add an image. The system will place it in the centre of the column of text, with words above and below it…

…just like this.

But, you might want to improve the layout of your newsletter, by wrapping the text around the image. You can choose to have the image on the left, or the right (just like we have done here). The process is the same, except for one little setting. The process is quite straightforward and the rest of this post will show you just how to do it.

To add an image, first place the cursor where you would like the image to be located. It is the same whether you want the image on the left or the right of the text. Just place the cursor to the left of the text. To copy the layout of the above paragraph, you need to place the cursor to the left of the words “But, you might want…”

Now click on the Image icon at the top of the screen.

The next screen allows you to select an image, from your computer, from the web, or from the library of previously uploaded images.

When you have selected your image, the next dialogue box asks you to adjust the settings. The standard setting for alignment is ‘Align – none’.

To change this to left of text, or right of text, simply click on the drop down menu and make your selection.

You can also adjust image size, the margin of empty space around the image, and give it a title if you wish.

It really is as easy as that to add a great photo to your next golf club email newsletter.
